We could not be more excited to announce that the Albumism family is growing once again with the awesome addition of Danielle Ciofani! A devoted aficionado of a wide range of musical styles and sensibilities, Danielle’s passion, sincerity, and wry sense of humor are perfect fits for our team. We look forward to Danielle’s perspective and insights in the future, and encourage our readers to check out her debut article, a review of Amber Mark’s excellent EP 3.33am.

More about Danielle:

Danielle Ciofani is a vocalist, musician and lifelong music fan. She’s currently recording her first EP with her band Crimefighter. Danielle grew up singing along to Stevie Wonder’s Fullfillingness’ First Finale (1974) and was moved by Metallica’s early instrumentals on Ride the Lightning (1984). In college she was a radio DJ, digging deep into hip-hop and discovering a love for the albums that put her on to new music through the art of sampling: Organized Konfusion’s Stress: The Extinction Agenda (1994), Black Moon’s Diggin’ In Dah Vaults (1996) and Rob Swift’s Soulful Fruit (1997) to name a few. She still DJs for fun, though these days her tastes skew more electronic. You can find her curating lounge-y playlists on Spotify or futurehouse mixtapes on Soundcloud.
