Shura has confirmed plans to bless us with her second studio album, entitled forevher, on August 16th. The highly anticipated follow-up to her 2016 debut LP Nothing’s Real is informed by a broad range of musical influences and features collaborations with Rosie Lowe, Kerry Leatham, Reva from Nimmo, Jona Ma (from Jagwar Ma), Will Miller (Whitney), and T-E-E-D. “[forevher] is a soul record, sung by someone who doesn’t have a traditional soul voice,” Shura explains in an official statement. “And I quite enjoy the antagonism of that.”

Building upon the momentum sparked by the project’s lead single “BKLYNLDN” a few months ago, Shura has unveiled the video for the album’s second single “religion (u can lay your hands on me),” which examines the relationship between sexuality and spirituality. Watch it below and stay tuned for additional details about the album as August approaches.
