Just a few weeks remain until Raphael Saadiq officially throws his hat in the ring of 2019’s album-of-the-year contenders, with the August 23rd arrival of his long-anticipated fifth studio album Jimmy Lee, his first LP in more than eight years. The follow-up to 2011’s Stone Rollin’, Jimmy Lee is preceded by the unveiling of three singles thus far: “Something Keeps Calling Me,” “Glory To The Veins” and the just-released, buoyant bass groove laden “So Ready.” August 23rd can’t come soon enough.
