Although released a year-and-a-half ago, Pete Yorn’s most recent studio long player Hawaii (2022) has remained firmly entrenched in heavy rotation here at Albumism HQ. The album is that good. Hence our elation at discovering that the artist has unveiled a brand new single today in the form of “Someday, Someday.” A collaboration with Josh Gudwin and Foo Fighters keyboardist Rami Jaffee, the plaintively powerful single serves as yet another compelling testament to Yorn’s proven penchant for crafting songs that evoke and inspire.

“I remember thinking about a friend who had lost their way and the secrets people keep; and the last time I had seen her,” Yorn confides in an official statement. “It was co-written and recorded and mixed by the great Josh Gudwin at Henson Studios in Hollywood, California. Then we sent it to my old pal Rami Jaffee who added some extra instrumentation.”

The single’s release kicks off a busy month of performances for Yorn, who plays Jimmy Kimmel Live! on January 16th, a sold-out show at New York City’s McKittrick Hotel on January 24th, and GMA3: What You Need To Know on January 25th.
