Upcoming Tour: Dates

One of the more intriguing—and refreshingly unorthodox—entries in our recent list of the 100 Most Dynamic Debut Albums Ever Made is Kimbra’s inaugural 2011 long player Vows, as selected by Albumism’s resident pop music authority Quentin Harrison, who extols the album as “one of this decade's best kept secrets.”

Fast forward more than six years and one album (2014’s sophomore set The Golden Echo), and the New Zealand born and bred singer-songwriter is proving to be the very embodiment of creative dynamism, as most recently evidenced by the pair of teaser tracks unveiled from her forthcoming album Primal Heart to date. Following the empowered, electro groove-laden lead single “Everybody Knows,” Kimbra has returned with the defiant, Skrillex co-produced “Top of the World,” the video of which appears below for your viewing pleasure. On the strength of these two stunners, we’re definitely making room on our shelves for Primal Heart, which lands January 19th.
