NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Kiefer Sutherland’s “Something You Love”

March 16, 2019 Albumism Staff

Artist: Kiefer Sutherland
Song: “Something You Love”
Album: Reckless & Me (Due in stores April 26th)

As multimedia star Kiefer Sutherland prepares for the release of his second studio album Reckless & Me next month on April 26th, the singer-songwriter has unveiled the project’s inspired third single “Something You Love.” The follow-up to the previously shared “Open Road” and “This Is How It’s Done,” the eloquent and empathetic track sounds like the next great anthem of the American experience, as it examines the everyman’s struggle to find meaning and substance in his life, amidst the daily pressures of just making it through each day.

Produced by Jude Cole, the ten-track Reckless & Me is the much-anticipated successor to Sutherland’s 2016 debut album Down In A Hole. “I asked myself, ‘what is the thing that I love about acting, and music?’ Sutherland contemplates in an official statement. “‘What is the common denominator?’ For me it's storytelling and music is a very different way of doing it.”
