NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: Jody Watley’s ‘Winter Nights’ EP

February 7, 2020 Albumism Staff

Just in time for the weekend, the legendary Jody Watley has blessed our ears with another dynamic dose of sophisticated soul in the form of her new Winter Nights EP. Comprised of three core tracks—each given the remix sheen by her frequent collaborator Alex Di Ciò—and bookended by piano-driven “Winter Nights” instrumentals, Watley accurately describes the song set as “perfect for cozy winter nights to warm you up.”

Winter Nights represents the first in a series of four seasonal releases that Watley has up her creative sleeve, so we thankfully have much more music to look forward to beyond the excellent EP you can listen to (and add to your collection) below.
