NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: First Aid Kit’s “Angel”

First Aid Kit have returned with their inspired new single “Angel,” the first preview of their as-yet-announced fifth studio album. Although their most recent studio LP arrived in early 2018 in the form of Ruins, sisters Johanna and Klara Söderberg have remained plenty productive in the past few years, releasing a handful of cover songs, the Tender Offerings EP in 2018, and their expansive Leonard Cohen live tribute album Who By Fire (2021).

“It feels special to release a song after such a long hiatus,” the duo confides in an official statement. “Today we’re so thrilled to finally share our new track ‘Angel’—a hopeful tune for these crazy times about accepting other people even if you don’t always see eye to eye.”
