With her enthralling debut album Preacher’s Daughter (2022) still commanding heavy rotation here at Albumism HQ fourteen months after its release in May of last year, Ethel Cain has blessed us with a wider release of “Famous Last Words (An Ode To Eaters).” Originally released via Soundcloud last year and released in partnership with Givenchy creative director Matthew Williams’ new 1017 ALYX 9SM initiative, the arresting, ambient composition takes inspiration from the 2022 romantic-horror film Bones And All.

Ethel Cain’s tour itinerary is a busy one this summer and fall, with the singer-songwriter set to perform at a string of US and European festivals that concludes October 14th at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, along wih a handful of UK dates with boygenius next month.

Watch the official video—co-directed by Ethel Cain and Silken Weinberg—below.
