Erykah Badu and The Alchemist have revealed that their long-awaited collaborative album is slated to arrive August 28th. Following last year’s unveiling of their first single “Next To You,” the duo have shared the latest preview of the project in the form of the melodic, multi-textured “Witch Doctor.”
The album’s official title is pending, with the disclaimer “Sorry, we don't have an album title yet…” listed on their Bandcamp profile, where the digital album is available for pre-order.
“We are kindred in so many ways,” Badu says of her musical partnership with The Alchemist during a recent Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe. “The way he samples makes me want to make music, with him, that he would want to sample.”
