Listen to Bonobo’s New Album ‘Fragments’

January 15, 2022 Albumism Staff

Artist: Bonobo
Album: Fragments
Label: Ninja Tune
Buy: Official Store

Simon Green a.k.a. Bonobo has blessed us with his seventh studio album Fragments, the follow-up to 2017’s Migration. The inventive soundsmith’s multi-textured, ever-dynamic arrangements are complemented by stellar contributions from an impressive crew of contributors including Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Kadhja Bonet, Joji, O’Flynn, Jordan Rakei, and Jamila Woods.

“This is my seventh album and it’s been without a doubt the most difficult one to make,” Green confides in an official statement. “I’d honestly lost a little confidence over the past few years. That, compounded with the whole mess of 2020 made the period of making this record an uphill struggle a lot of the time. As much as it’s a document of a weird and uncertain time, it’s also about optimism and joy. I’m extremely proud of it and I hope that sense of optimism is felt.”
