NEW MUSIC WE LOVE: a-ha’s “I'm In”

July 8, 2022 Albumism Staff

Nearly seven years since a-ha released their tenth studio album Cast In Steel (2015), the Norwegian pop-rock legends have announced that its long-awaited follow-up LP True North will arrive on October 21st, accompanied by a behind-the-scenes film that captures the brand’s creative process in crafting the album.

The trio comprised of Magne Furuholmen, Morten Harket and Paul Waaktaar-Savoy have also unveiled the stirring lead single “I’m In” and its beautifully shot video, which appears below. It’s “a song about total commitment and a show of support for someone who is troubled,” Furuholmen says of the single, which he wrote. “Real commitment is a leap of faith. Everyone knows how difficult it can be to offer commitment and support unconditionally, but this is what it takes to make anything worthwhile happen – love, friendship, change, self-improvement, careers, a better world.”
